(VIDEO) JOHN CULLUM THE BREADMAKER

Knowing his wife Em loves rye bread, has turned John Cullum into a breadmaker.

In California, they regularly drove to the famous "Diamond Crystal Bakery" in the Fairfax area of Los Angeles. It was a forty-minute drive they made monthly in order to buy six large loaves of corn rye.

At their home in Malibu, after they froze it so that Em had a toasted slice of rye  every morning.

Back in New York, after trying different store-bought breads, John bought a Cuisinart bread maker. Now John Cullum bakes rye bread for Em.

You've made me HUNGRY!!! :)

I bake bread occasionally, but not as much as I used to. Making bread is very theraputic, so I SHOULD do it more. Do you find that to be the case with you, John?

Very sweet video, you two! <3 AND you're wearing purple again! :)

Happy Weekend!

Fun video! And very informative. I love bread especially home made. Rye bread is delicious.
John is so talented and both of you are great cooks. I would probably put on weight if I lived with you-your cooking is so good! Lol!
Thanks for sharing your cooking story. kam

I like chewy bread too. You would think that somewhere in New York City there must be a bakery that can make rye bread that you can love.

I love bread so very much. All forms. Evil as it is in mass quantities, I could be happy living on bread alone. JC, in your free time, LOL, make me some very nice herb crusted bread.......
