(VIDEO) JOHN CULLUM'S ADDRESS BOOK

Em teases John about his address book. It's something he's worked on for years, constantly re-formatting, looking for ways to make it more effective.

Em mentions the wrong addresses, the names in his book of people who are no longer in the world.

His address book is actually a history of his social life, and dear friends who have passed on who are still alive and important to him, as well as his career.

I did enjoy that! Especially 'uniquely awful' and 'uniquely wonderful'. I have two things in common with John. One is that I can never bring myself to cross out or delete those long gone (and my, there have been far too many in the last two decades, alas). The second is that I play Solitaire for similar reasons. If everything's going wrong in my life (far too frequent), playing Solitaire is satisfying because it can go right and it brings solace. Enjoy your weekend, both of you. Sarah x

John's address book is so rich and wonderful. I gave up on books...and use a small Rolodex. So much easier, but certainly lacking in creativity.

So funny! What's sad is I can't even keep track anymore.

I have an address book which is hard to keep up. I only put in relatives and life-long friends. For everyone else I keep their address on a scrap of paper which I store in envelopes labeled A-H, I-P, Q-Z. It's important to date the scraps, so I can go through and eliminate outdated duplicates.
