(VIDEO) JOHN CULLUM REVISITS "CAROUSEL"

Em wants to know why John Cullum, decided to perform a non-singing role in Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical, "Carousel."

The project (it was performed last week) -- was a book-in-hand recording with the NY York Philharmonic and a cast of well-known performers. It was staged by John Rando, a personal good friend, who directed John in the musical "Urinetown."

But Em wonders why John agreed to perform  a secondary part of a musical in which he starred at the great outdoor theater in Jones Beach.

John's answer is a lesson for any actor.

It's interesting to think about the origins of both the New England and the Southern accents. Back in colonial days, all Americans (esp in the South) spoke with English accents.

The consummate professional! Participating for love and not for accolades. (and John deserves many of those) I love how much you guys love each other & these little 'visits' with you are wonderful :D

What I miss most about living an hour from NYC is theatre. True and fluid acting. No retakes, no post production, no clean up. Pure, raw, and truest form.
