As John mentions the titles of books he's been reading, we learn that he habitually postpones finishing a novel. Instead, as he starts reading a new book, he returns to a favorite book, reacquaints himself with the characters, and then reads the ending.
John Cullum's appetite for the classics, and his pleasure in reading them amazes Em.

Very impressive to say the least, but really no surprise either. Those are the kinds of books that I would expect John to find the most fascinating.

I'm very impressed with John's list. When I first got my Kindle, I too downloaded some classics, but I've never read them.
Read on John - I can identify - I'm almost always reading a contemporary novel (usually Sci Fi/Fantasy - something non-fiction like Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself and another book or two simultaneously. Keeps the brain limber!
